Coyle Girelli’s debut solo album “Love Kills” is out!
If you enjoy the throwbacks to a romanticized era the likes of Roy Orbinson and Elvis Presley, you will love what Coyle has done here on his first solo release. A beautiful, timeless collection that breaks your heart and heals it all at the same time. Such a powerful, vulnerable piece. It truly showcases the Girelli’s gift — his ability to put down lyrics and melody that speak to a deeper part, the rawness of love at it’s best, worse, and everything in between. The 11 track album was released on Honey Lemon Records.

September #UnderCover artist is Blues rock phenom Jordan Cook.
Pick your jaw up off the floor after feasting on this KEXP live taping of his cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain”.
Cook and his band are currently out on tour after internet silence for well over a year. ‘Wolfpack’ fans have been salivating since the pre-tour release of the track, “Wanna Don’t Wanna”. Here’s hoping that therir first official full length release is on the horizon.

Thrilled to announce that the October 11th Greta Van Fleet show at The Sylvee, Madison, WI is sold out. Wisconsin knows great new music!
There has been a lot of talk about these four young men, three of them brothers, and their throwback sound. With a majestic sound the likes of Led Zeppelin, and the swagger to match, they are a young band that is sincere in their hopes to make their own mark.
Currently the band two EP’s out and on are on the cusp of delivering their first full-length 10 song LP. People around the industry are looking at this forthcoming release to see what they will build from here. Their talent is undeniable, as is their passion and intensity. Their live shows can be described as giant walls of sound with savage guitar shreds, crushing drums and Josh’s dynamic howls and wails that shake you and draw you into a fervor. Much like lightening in a bottle, they have captured something elusive and powerful, and are now showing it off to the world.
I look forward to seeing them deliver a smashing performance, cutting their teeth on their first major tour. The band have set out on a worldwide Fall tour that started in Seattle WA and ends in November in Manchester, UK. More info on dates and tickets for N. America , Europe and Asia can be found on their website.
Their new album will be out shortly after, on October 19th, entitled ‘Anthem of a Peaceful Army’ on Lava/Republic Records. Pre-ordering available now here : http://www.gretavanfleet.com

It’s a great day for Reignwolf fans ! There is evidence of life.
The band posted on Facebook announcing fall US and Canada tour dates and hinted at music they have been putting together. It was like a beacon to many of their hardcore fans who have stayed the course, in hopes that they had not seen the last of Jordan Cook, the passionate force behind the wall of explosive guitar brilliance that is the stuff legends are made of – – – fire and fury. (Check out the formidable singles ‘In the Dark’ and ‘Are You Satisfied’ to get a flavor of the distortion- laden blues this guy can lay down).
Reignwolf have maintained a rather low profile conventionally, rolling across the country, gathering fans from their travels and live shows. That doesn’t mean they have not been on the music radar. Their resume’ includes a prestigious spot opening for Black Sabbath on their Canadian tour, playing at Sasquatch, Lollapalooza , and Voodoo Festival to name a few. All without a single proper album. In past interviews the band has discussed what they feel are the challenges of capturing the “essence” of their live music.
After releasing one track last year, ‘Hardcore’, fans looked to the release of a promised first full length album — then nothing. If their short-list arsenal of singles gives a peek into what might be coming next, no doubt we are all in for an incredible churching in the school of Reignwolf.
Check out all the dates here . More West Coast and Canada dates to be added:
Be sure to stop back to check out my reviews and photos from their tour .

Just discovered this self-titled solo EP project from Skillet drummer, Jen Ledger.
Titled “Ledger”, the 6 track EP was released April 13 through Hear It Loud, a label imprint launched by Skillet frontman John Cooper and his wife. Ledger’s debut truly showcases the beauty and depth of her talents – delivering powerful rock to soft delicate vocals. Songwriting and lyrics are brilliantly constructed, both relevant and honest.
Looking forward to future releases from her solo project.

Texas Rockers Blacktop Mojo steal the spotlight with this cover of Aerosmith classic , “Dream On”. A monster of a song and vocal, but they nail it, with Matt James going toe to toe with Steven Tyler’s primal wails and screams. This cover led me to the band’s website and music – – – which is best described as a fiery blend of post-grunge, classic rock, and metal that falls somewhere between Soundgarden, Black Stone Cherry, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Be sure to check out their album “Burn the Ships” / March 2017 on Cuhmon Records.

Worth pulling out and dusting off for my #Undercover segment this month .
Korn took on iconic Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall.” There have been some haters on this one, but I have to say I enjoyed their expanded interpretation.
